An essay can have many purposes, but the basic structure is the same in all essays. You may be writing an essay to argue for a particular point of view or to explain the steps necessary to complete a task. Either way, your essay will have the same basic format.
An academic essay structure comprises three distinct parts: introduction, body, and conclusion. This course endeavours to detail each one of them.

By the end of this credit, students will be able to:1- Distinguish between paragraph and essay structures,
2- Be familiar with essay three main parts (introduction, body, conclusion) and their specific constituents,
3- Produce a full-length essay.
